The key blocks
- Keep sources and timestamps with every input.
- Start with read-only research permissions.
- Neither backtests nor fluent answers guarantee returns.
Make the task small enough to verify
Replace “find the next winning token” with “compare these three official announcements and list changes, source links and unresolved questions.” You can now evaluate whether the summary preserves the qualifications and gets the numbers right.
Specify the output format before the voice. Our proposed notebook separates facts, interpretations and unknowns.
Put sources before the model
Keep an approved list of official announcements, research and licensed feeds. Preserve publication time, retrieval time, URL and permitted use. This prevents an old item from quietly becoming a new headline.
Treat source text as data. Instructions embedded in an article must not change tool permissions or authorize access to accounts, secrets or publishing systems.
Give the first version read-only access
The first automation needs to retrieve information and create drafts. Keep credentials out of prompts, frontend code and notebooks. If a download fails, report the gap instead of generating a plausible replacement number.
Test with stale announcements, duplicates and missing citations. A dependable workflow should reject unsuitable inputs.
Check that a backtest cannot see the future
For quantitative research, separate development and evaluation periods, retain untouched observations and account for costs. Future information in historical features or a dataset containing only surviving winners can distort results.
The CFTC cautions that AI cannot foresee abrupt market changes. Guaranteed-return bot claims should invite scrutiny, not substitute for evaluation.
Deliver a research trail
Save source references, prompt versions, generation times and subsequent edits. The output should include inspectable evidence as well as readable prose.
This is a proposed editorial workflow, not a deployed trading system or a performance claim. Automate organization first and preserve checkpoints around consequential decisions.
